Are you looking for a way to experience summer camp at Camp Grant Walker but aren’t in grades 4th–6th? L.O.S.T. (Louisiana Outdoor Science & Technology) Camp is for you! This specialty camp is open to 4‑H members in 7th and 8th grade during the 2025–2026 school year and will take place Thursday, July 30, 2026, through Sunday, August 2, 2026.

During L.O.S.T. Camp, campers will participate in two hands‑on educational tracks. Options include SeaPerch, Drones, Video Production, Outdoor Skills, Healthy Living and more—offering youth an exciting opportunity to explore STEM topics, build leadership skills, and enjoy outdoor learning in a fun camp environment.

The cost to attend camp this summer is $150.00 per camper. This fee includes lodging, meals, transportation, and a camp T‑shirt. Camp Grant Walker also operates a camp store with souvenirs and snacks. Because 4‑H Camp follows a no‑money policy, families must add camp store funds to the registration payment. Campers may have up to $40 in their store account.

A payment schedule has been created to help families plan:

  • April 1, 2026: $75.00 + registration form
  • June 1, 2026: Remaining Balance Due + health form

To support families who may need financial assistance, a $60.00 Chancellor Scholarship is available.

Parents/guardians must complete and submit the 4‑H Chancellor Scholarship Form by April 1, 2026, to be considered. Scholarship notifications will be made in June.

St. John the Baptist Parish has limited spots for L.O.S.T. Camp. Spaces will be filled on a first‑come, first‑served basis. To reserve your spot, please submit the registration form and $75.00 deposit by April 1, 2026. Checks, money orders, and debit/credit cards are accepted. Checks and money orders should be made payable to St. John the Baptist 4‑H Foundation, with the camper’s name written in the memo line. For debit/credit card payments, an electronic invoice will be emailed to the address provided. Please note that card payments incur a 3.3% + $0.30 transaction fee.

A virtual camp orientation meeting for parents and campers will be held in the afternoon of June 10, 2026. A meeting link will be emailed closer to the date.
