Did you or your child miss the opportunity to attend 4-H Summer Camp? Well, this camp was created just for them! L.O.S.T. Camp will occur July 31 - August 3, 2025, at Camp Grant Walker in Pollock, LA, and is open to 4-H members currently in grades 7th and 8th. Similar to 4-H Summer Camp, campers who attend this camp will choose an educational track (Food & Fitness, Artificial Intelligence, Outdoor Skills, ATV Safety, SeaPerch or Wetlands) and participate in outdoor recreational activities.
The cost for camp this summer is $150.00 per camper. This fee includes lodging, meals, transportation, and a camp t-shirt. Camp Grant Walker has a camp store where campers can purchase souvenirs and snacks. 4-H Camp has a no-money policy; therefore, parents/guardians must add money to your registration fee for the camp store. A camper can have a maximum of $30 for the camp store. If additional funds are needed, parents can order from the online camp store.
A payment schedule has been established to assist in paying for camp. The schedule is as follows:
To assist families financially, a scholarship in the amount of $60.00 is available. To be considered for the scholarship, parents/guardians must complete the 4-H Chancellor Scholarship form and submit it by May 15, 2025. Families will be notified if they receive the scholarship in June.
St. John the Baptist 4-H has limited spots available, which will be on a first-come-first-serve basis. To secure your spot, you must submit the registration form and $75.00 by May 15, 2025. Checks, money orders, and debit/credit cards are acceptable payment methods. Should you use a check or money order, have them payable to the St. John the Baptist 4-H Foundation. Please put the camper’s name in the memo line of your payment. If you would like to utilize a credit/debit card, please know you will be accessed a 3.3% + 30¢ processing fee.
The mandatory parent and camper meeting is scheduled for June 12, 2025, at 5:00 p.m. at Leroy D. Williams Memorial Library - Reserve Branch (1482 Hwy 44, Reserve, LA 70084.
