4-H Challenge Camp was held at Tickfaw State Park in Springfield, LA. November 12-14th. This camp is geared toward 7th and 8th grade 4-H'ers through out the Southeast Region. The theme was Challenge Camp for the Health of It.
At Challenge Camp youth had the opportunity to stay two nights which is a planned educational experience of group living in the out-of-doors and includes being away from home. Youth are encouraged to develop soft skills needed to be successful. Youth also had the opportunity to meet new friends and participate in several hands on activities.
This year we had a total of 11 youth to participate Alexus Ware, Samone Bryer, Daranae Griffin, Mya Gordon, Kyla Bryant, Corinthius Matthews, Stanley Hughes, Jamya Watson, Ronquisha Myles Tazmire Crews and Tyah Gordon.
Adult Chaperons were Toni Melton-Youth Coordinator Richard Womack-4-H Volunteer, Joshua Scott-4-H Volunteer and Angela Myles-4-H Agent.
