Cooking Camp was held at Turner Chapel A.M.E. in Greensburg, Louisiana, July 26 - 28, 2011. The purpose of the camp was to help youth learn basic concepts of cooking.
Youth were able to explore the fascinating world of cooking by learning about ingredients, food preparation, food origins and availability of assorted foods.
Youth got hands-on experience by preparing and eating dishes they created. Most of the recipes were provided by the LSU AgCenter Smart Bodies program
