Red River Parish Shooting Sports team has great time at Regional Shoot

The weekend of March 26-27 proved to be an exciting time for the Red River Parish 4-H Junior and Senior Shooters, with several competitors advancing to state. On Saturday, March 26, the seniors shot 150 rounds of skeet at the Shreveport Gun Club. Those participating were Cole Hinds; Dylan Norman, 10th Place; Tyler McCartney; and Nathan Paul. Advancing to state were Cole Hinds and Dylan Norman.

On Sunday, March 27, the junior shooters shot 50 rounds of skeet in the modified trap competition at Long-Range Alley Gun Club. Those competing were Lewis Lawson, Michael Arnold, Austin Knotts, Jared Gay, Kade Anderson, Garrett Anderson, Brent Swayze, Ty Hester, Thomas Colley, and Mikey Jones. Advancing to state in the Junior Division were Austin Knotts - 1st place, Jared Gay – 5th place, Michael Arnold - 9th place, Garrett Anderson - 12th place, and Brent Swayze. Also Red River Team 2, that consisted of Kade Anderson, Michael Arnold, Jared Gay, Ty Hester, and Brent Swayze, placed 2nd as a team.
