Red River Parish Shooter participate in regional competition

The Red River Shooters shot in the Northern Regional competition on Friday, March 16, 2011. William Bailey competed in the Northern Regional Modified Trap competition at The Long-Range Alley Gun Club in Grand Cane. Consisting of 50 rounds, Bailey shot skeet competing against others in the area.

On Saturday, March 17, 2011 the Junior and Senior Advanced divisions competed at the Shreveport Gun Club. Those competing this day shot Trap, Sporting Clays, & Skeet.

The Seniors shooting were Nathan Paul, Jarred Gay, Michael Fair, and Brent Swayze.

The Juniors shooting were Austin Knotts, Michael Arnold, Lewis Lawson, Mikey Jones,

The Junior Advanced Red River Team placed first place. Advancing to state are Austin Knotts (3rd place), Lewis Lawson (8th place), and Michael Arnold (12th place).

Austin Knotts also placed 4th in Sporting Clays and 5th in Trap.

Seniors aimed at 150 skeet throughout the day, while the Juniors aimed at 100.
