This year at the 2013 Northwest District Livestock show, we had five youth participate in showing their livestock project. The youth have to show at the district level in order to qualify to be come to the state show in Gonzales La. Red River Jr. Livestock club had all five youth qualify all of their animals that were brought to the district show. The six youth that competed were, Michael Arnold, Kade Maroney, Lezlea Marze, Alyssa Woodard, Carmen Latiolais, and Madison Lewing. Red River Parish had both beef and goat showing at the district show and came home with lots of purple and blue ribbons. With the great support for the different parishes in the Northwest District, they also came home with premium checks to help them be able to compete at the LSU Agcenter State show. As there agent I was very proud of how all the youth did at the district level and am looking forward in telling everyone how great they did at the state show. Congratulations to all of the Red River Jr. Livestock youth.
