Congratulations to everyone who competed at the 2012 LSU State Livestock Show! Those who participated this year were: Alyssa Woodard, Carmen Latiolais, Darrell McLemore, Kade Maroney, and Michael Arnold.
In the Market Goat Show, Alyssa placed 3rd, 6th, & 4th LA bred. Carmen received 3rd, 1st LA Bred, Division 2 LA Bred Reserve Champion; 2nd, 2nd LA Bred; 3rd, 1st LA Bred, Division 3 LA Bred Grand Champion.
In the Breeding Goats, Carmen won 1st full blood Boer buck – overall grand champion full blood buck, 0-6 month full blood doe 4th, 6-12 month full blood doe 3rd, 18-24 month full blood doe 1st, Overall Grand Champion full blood doe & Grand Champion LA Bred Full Blood Doe, 0-6 month % Boer doe, 4th; 12-18 month % Boer doe, 3rd; Commercial doeling, 4th; Commercial Doe aged, 3rd. Carmen also won 1st in her showmanship class and won the goat educational awards trip.
In the Beef Show, Michael placed 1st with his Brangus bull, 2nd and 7th with his Brangus heifers, and 2nd in the Brangus showmanship. Kade placed 4th in the 10 year old LA Cattlemen Showmanship, and 4th and 6th with both of his commercial heifers. Darrell had the Grand Champion LA Bred Brangus Bull & Reserve Grand Champion LA Bred Bull.
