The Red River Parish 4-H Junior. Livestock Club welcomed Dr. Robert Bethea, Doctor of Veterinary Medicine, at their December 2010 meeting helded at the Red River Parish LSU AgCenter office. Dr. Bethea was asked by Vice President Carmen Latiolais speak at the December meeting. Dr. Robert Bethea presented information on livestock health at the December 2010 meeting of the Jr. Livestock Club. Club members listened carefully as Dr. Bethea spoke about vaccinating, deworming, and other health care topics related to livestock show animals.
The 4-H Junior Livestock Club is a afterschool club for 4-H'ers who participate in 4-H Livestock projects or who want to learn more about livestock. Each month, the Junior Livestock Club meets at the Red River Parish LSU AgCenter office to have their monthly meeting. Many topics about livestock are taught in the club meetings.
