Come celebrate Louisiana’s 200th birthday and learn about our rich and diverse culture!

Travel through time with fellow 4-H members to acknowledge how far our state has come in the past 200 years! Many people through different time periods have greatly influenced the success of our great state, and you will have the opportunity to get to know these historical figures. They played an important role in shaping Louisiana’s government and our distinct culture that we share still today with many forms of dancing, celebrations, and of course our wonderful cuisine. This camp will paint the perfect picture of our state’s rich history as you will live through the time periods that shaped our state, take a tour through the many festivals that are celebrated, and participate in a birthday bash for Louisiana!

This event will be held December 7-9, 2012, at the Grant Walker 4-H Educational Center for 7th-9th grade 4-H members.

Camp fee - $75.00. Registration forms and camp fee due to 4-H office by November 15, 2012. Contact Markaye Russell for more information and registration details.
