The Orleans Parish Family & Consumer Sciences (FCS) Advisory Committee is comprised of individuals whose work is related to youth, education, parenting, nutrition, career workshops, elderly, local government, family and social services, financial services, housing, tourism and community activism.
The Orleans Parish Family & Consumer Sciences (FCS) Advisory Committee meets to discuss the needs of the local community. Representatives from the various areas provide their input and give direction on the challenges that need to be addressed, as well as they provide suggestions of how the different agencies can work together to meet the common goal of providing our community with helpful workshops, assistance and educational resources.
