On Saturday, April 6th, the Orleans Parish 4-H Cookery Contest was held at the Rosa F. Keller Library. Seven 4-H’ers from four different clubs competed in the commodity categories of Egg or Sugar. Dishes were scored on appearance (15 points), taste (65 points), food safety (10 points) and recipe (10 points). The first place winners are now eligible to represent Orleans Parish 4-H at the District Cookery on May 8th. Congratulations to all the participants.
