Junior Leader Conference

Are you ready to “Walk Their Way to Leadership?” Then come and check out our 2021 Junior Leadership Conference.

This day long leadership event is a great chance to meet other 4-H’ers, develop your leadership skills, and learn about Statewide 4-H leadership opportunities.

Who can go: 8th-12th grade 4-H members.
When: Thursday, March 11, in Shreveport,9:45am - 4:00pm
Friday, March 12, in Alexandria, 9:45am - 4:00pm
Saturday, March 13, in Baton Rouge, 9:45am - 4:00pm
Cost: $20.00

Workshop Descriptions

Wild Wild West: Welcome all cowboys and cowgirls, get ready to take a wild adventure into the world of animal science. While we ride into the sunset we will learn how to properly care for our animals, wildlife, and agriculture.
Food Ninja Warriors: Be prepared to be famous! Whether it’s running and jumping or creating healthy snacks, you are sure to have a ball on the Ninja Food Warriors Network! Like food? Like running? This is the workshop for you to truly be a star!
Service superheroes: Now Showing: Louisiana 4-H Service Superheroes! Join us on an exciting adventure as we put our service powers to the test! Throughout our workshop, you will learn the importance of citizenship and inclusion through service opportunities! So, let’s go up, up and away this year with the JLC Service Superhero Workshop.
Lights, Leadership, Action!: Set the stage with the Lights, Leadership, Action workshop! Get ready to take action to become a great leader! We’ll learn how to handle real-life scenarios as an effective leader. We'll use leadership qualities such as adaptability, communications, teamwork, and conflict resolution to become a well- rounded leader!
Ready, SET, Build! Three, two, one, action! We could tell you to sit back and enjoy the show, but in our workshop, you will be part of the action! Learn about setting goals and handling stress through some action packed experiments
