Rules for Livingston Parish 4-H Poster Contests 2012

Livingston Parish 4-H Poster Contests:

  • Any 4-H member may participate.
  • Only the top poster from each club in each contest and age division needs to be turned in to the parish office by March 8, 2013.
  • Leaders must give agents the number of posters entered to receive club points.

Beef Poster

1. Every 4-H club member may enter.

2. Make a poster telling a story of beef and/or beef products.

3. Poster must be made on 11 X 14" only.

4. Do not attach anything to poster. Draw, paint, sketch, or color.

5. Be sure to place your name, address, age, grade, school, and parish on back of the poster in the upper right-hand corner.

6. Posters will be judged in three divisions:

  • Div. 1 - 4th - 6th grades
  • Div. II - 7th - 8th grades
  • Div. III - 9th-12th grades

7. State contest winners - $100.00.

Dairy Poster -"Draw a Dairy Billboard"

1. Any 4-H member may enter.

2. Billboard designs or ideas are recommended; short, concise message.

3. Poster must be uniform size 22" x 28" (poster board).

4. Do not attach anything to poster. Draw, paint, sketch, or color.

5. Label poster on back - Name, Address, Age, Grade, School, and Parish.

6. Posters will be judged in grade divisions:

  • 4-6th
  • 7-8th 
  • 9-12th

7. State winners - $100.00

Drug Prevention/Peer Pressure Poster

1. Any 4-H member may enter.

2. Poster must be uniform size 22" x 28".

3. Label poster on back - Name, Address, Age, Grade, School, and Parish.

4. Divisions:

  • 4th - 6th grades 
  • 7th - 8th grades
  • 9th - 12th grades

5. No state contest.
