As part of our parish wide Service Learning Project, Jefferson Parish 4-H members will have the opportunity to participate in activities and contests to help “reduce, reuse, and recycle” in the upcoming months. ¨ Our first recycling drive will consist of gently used blankets. All donated items should be clean with no holes. We will collect these items through the end of November. This drive can be club-wide or school-wide. All donations will be brought to area shelters to help the needy of our community. 4-H club members are encouraged to give reports and demonstrations at their club meetings on the importance of “Geauxing Green”. Help us learn more about reducing, reusing, and recycling! Encourage your friends and family to participate in curbside recycling which is now available in Jefferson Parish. Be on the lookout for our “Geauxing Green” poster contest and Container Gardening Contest in the spring.
