Twenty Jefferson Parish 4-H members joined members from Orleans, St. Bernard, Plaquemines, East Feliciana, Morehouse, St. John, Livingston, and Washington parishes for an exciting week of good times and good friends. The week long camp was held at the Grant Walker Educational Center in Pollock, LA. Campers enjoyed educational tracks which included Outdoor Adventures; Food & Fitness; Dramatic Arts; Louisiana Wetlands; SET … Science, Engineering & Technology; and Hunter Safety, along with many recreational activities.
Jefferson East Bank participants included: Mallorie Bergeron from Hazel Park Elementary; Blake Bonnette, Aaliyah Bradley, Bobby Diaz, and Kiera Lesky from Airline Park Academy; Gabrielle DeHarde from Clancy-Maggiore Academy; Domenic Mesa from Patrick Taylor Academy; Jordan Moore and Yahaira Rodriguez from Audubon Elementary; and Mailbox Members Gabrielle Cipriani, Kyle Kuntz, and Heidi Garcia. West Bank campers were: Katie Maise and Elizabeth Trudeau from Word of Life Academy; Jaelynn Creppel, Noah Relayson, Chloe Wiseman, and Fred Tamborella from Kerner Elementary; and Mailbox Members Charrel Williams and Tyler Barrios.
Members were accompanied by Camp Counselors Cecilia Borne, Nerrie Borne, and Richard Hood from Word of Life Academy; McKaela Mesa from East Jefferson High School; and Kaori Keyser from Riverdale High School. Ann Gauthier and Chantel Williams, LSU Ag Center Agents from Jefferson Parish along with Volunteer Leader Susan Warner also accompanied the group. 4-H Camp is one of the many educational programs conducted by the LSU Ag Center.
