Fifteen Jefferson Parish 4-H members joined members from Orleans, St. Bernard, Plaquemines, East Feliciana, Morehouse, Winn, and Ouachita Parishes for an exciting week of good times and good friends. The week long camp was held at the Grant Walker Educational Center in Pollock, LA. Campers enjoyed educational tracks which included Outdoor Adventures; Food & Fitness; Dramatic Arts; Louisiana Wetlands; SET … Science, Engineering & Technology; and Hunter Safety, along with many recreational activities. Jefferson East Bank participants included: Alexus Brennan, Payton Evans, Zoe Martin-Morales, Domenic Mesa from Birney Elementary; Bridget Adam, Madison Chapman, Gabriella Cipriani from St. Elizabeth Ann Seton; Cy Salvant, Shane Salvant, and Ellie Van Pelt from the East Bank Home School 4-H Club. West Bank campers were: Katie Maise from Word of Life Academy; Lloyd Gordon, Zachary Bladsacker from Kerner Elementary; and Mailbox Members Charrel Williams and Charles Bass.
Members were accompanied by Camp Counselors Arrash Faili, Nerrie Borne, and Emzy Pomacino from Word of Life Academy; Brooke Harper from East Jefferson High School; and McKaela Mesa from Crescent City Christian School. Ann Gauthier and Chantel Williams, LSU Ag Center Agents from Jefferson Parish along with Volunteer Leaders Susan Warner, Ricardo Mesa, and Derrick Salvant also accompanied the group. 4-H Camp is one of the many educational programs conducted by the LSU Ag Center.
