Jefferson 4-H Members and Leaders Attend Annual 4-H Day at the Capitol

Six Jefferson Parish 4-H members and eight volunteer leaders visited the Louisiana State Capitol in Baton Rouge, La., on June 1, 2011, for 4-H Day at the Capitol. Hundreds of 4-H members, 4-H volunteers and parents from throughout the state also attended this annual event. While at the state capitol, members of the Jefferson Parish delegation visited with Senator Danny Martiny, Representative Robert Billiot and Representative Kirk Talbot. Members of the Jefferson group were also able to sit in on a committee hearing with Representatives Tony Ligi, Patrick Connick and Girod Jackson.
