The treasurer's report was printed and distributed.
Scott Scholarship winners are Brittany Landry who will be awarded $850.00 and Jeremy Balint who will be awarded $650.00. Checks will be distributed in August after youth have registered for college. Brittany will also receive the $100.00 4-H Foundation Scholarship which will be distributed next year. We had 4-H’ers who each received a $70.00 leadership scholarship for successfully completing their roles as 4-H counselors.
A complete list of participants for all summer programs is listed in the newsletter. Summer programs included: Beef Poster Contest Winners, 4-H Day at the Capitol, 4-H Camp, 4-H University, L.O.S.T. Camp and Marsh Maneuvers.
Laura Melancon represented Louisiana at the 2011 4-H National Shooting Sports Competition this summer in San Antonio, Texas. See the newsletter for more details.
T-shirts will be sold for $10.00 and we have some available now for sale. Order form is in the September 2011 newsletter.
We will be selling tickets for a tour of a Teddy Bear House located in uptown New Orleans. The dates are Dec.17-18, 2011. Pre-sale tickets are $7.00 for adults 18 and over and $4.00 for children under 17. Volunteers will be needed to help with the tours on both days.

New this year is the collection of gently used blankets. Blankets will be distributed to homeless shelters in the area.
The LSU AgCenter and the LSU College of Agriculture
