Master Nutrition Ceremony

Quincy Cheek looks on as Master Nutrition Volunteer, Tracy Geisel receives her Master Nutrition Certification and her official Master Nutrition pin.

In December 2011, eight Master Nutrition Volunteers were certified through the LSU AgCenter Master Nutrition Training Program.

Participants completed a six-week training course on basic nutrition, food safety and physical activity.

They also contributed a minimum of 12 volunteer hours to become certified.

All participants are residents of Grant Parish and are eager to get out and spread the word about healthy lifestyles, good nutrition, physical activity and food safety.
