Private Pesticide Certification Exam Information

The Louisiana Department of Agriculture and Forestry is designated as the state's lead agency in the regulation of pesticide use and application. If you are interested in taking the exam to obtain your private pesticide license you will have to contact either the Opelousas office at 337-948-0230 or the Baton Rouge office at 225-922-1924 or click here to be connected to the Louisiana Department of Agriculture and Forestry website for additional information.

You will have to fill out an application for testing and the Department of Agriculture and Forestry is the only agency designated to administer the exam. Exam applications should call a parish office in advance to verify if a core manual is currently available at that office. At this time the Evangeline Parish office has no manuals available for applicants but you can use the link below to purchase a manual.

The cost is $30.00 plus tax. The private pesticide applicator certification exam study manual is a great professional reference, and it contains practice exams and answers.
