Beef Classic Information


The Evangeline Parish Cattleman's Association Board of Directors is happy to announce that they will host the Evangeline Parish Beef Classic Show this year! The show will be held Sunday, November 20, 2022 at the Chauncey Pitre Memorial Building located at 1204 Chauncey Pitre Rd., Ville Platte, LA 70586.

Entry fee is $25.00 per animal by November 4, 2022 or $35.00 per animal after November 4, 2022. No Refunds; books will close at 6:00 p.m. November 19, 2022. No entries will be accepted the day of the show.

  • Show is open to junior exhibitors of beef breeding livestock under the age of 20 as of January 1, 2023. Breeds will be represented if they have 10 or more head entered by November 4. Breeds with less than 10 entries after November 4 will show AOB.
  • Registration and check in from 7:00 to 8:30 a.m. the morning of the show. Must have registration papers and health forms at check– in. Commercial heifers will be weighed at 8:00 a.m. Sunday Morning.
  • Showman ship will begin at 9:00 a.m. Fee is included in entry fee. 3 divisions Junior (11 years and under), Intermediate (12-14 years old), and Senior (15 and older). Belt buckles will be awarded to division champions.
  • Breed show will follow showmanship with show order to be determined after the deadline.
  • 2022 LSU Spring Show general rules will be followed, unless noted otherwise.
  • Awards will be presented to the Grand Champion and Reserve Champion.
  • Shavings must be purchased at show facility.
  • Animals may arrive Saturday, November 19 throughout the day.
  • Beef Premier Exhibitor will consist of a beef cattle knowledge test & showmanship.
