Please click on the workshops below to find more information about it. If there is a charge for the workshop, you must come by our office to turn in the registration form and pay the workshop fee. You may also call and pay over the phone but keep in mind that a 4% transaction fee will be charges. Do not pay at your school.

The 2026 Evangeline Parish 4-H Electric Workshop will be held on Tuesday, November 24, 2026. The morning session will be from 9:30 a.m. - 11:30 a.m. and the afternoon session will be from 1:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m. Each session can hold 25 4-H members. The workshops will be held at the 4-H Office in Ville Platte at 230 Court Street. This workshop is open to all 4th - 8th graders.

Once the project for this year for this year is finalized we will add the information here.

Spots for this workshop will be filled on a first come first serve basis!

We accept cash, checks, money orders and are now accepting credit/debit cards. Please keep in mind that if you use a credit card you will be charged a 4% transaction fee. Also, if paying by credit/debit card you can register over the phone.

Do not send payment to your school. If must be received in our office to secure your spot.


The 4-H Pancake Workshop will be held in December from 9:00 am to 11:00 at Ville Platte High School Cafeteria. 4-H members will learn to follow a recipe, measure ingredients, and create and cook their own pancakes! This workshop is open to all 4th-8th graders. There is limited space available, so send your registration form and fee of $15.00 to the 4-H Office as soon as possible. There are only 50 spots in this workshop.

Make checks or money order payable to Evangeline Parish 4-H.

The deadline to turn in your form and $15 check is November 25th or until full.

This workshop will be held in May for 4-H Members in 6th—8th grade at the Ville Platte Court House from 8:30 A.M.—3:00 P.M.

We will visit the Tax Assessor’s Office, Sherriff’s Office & Dispatch, Clerk of Court, District Attorney, Judge’s Chamber, and inside the Court Room. There are only 20 spots available. The cost of Citizenship workshop is $20.00. This includes a T-Shirt that we will all wear that day and lunch.

4-H citizenship programs empower young people to be well-informed citizens who are actively engaged in their communities and the world. Youth learn about civic affairs, build decision-making skills and develop a sense of understanding and confidence in relating and connecting to other people. These life skills help grow 4-H youth into true leaders.


Do you like to fish? Or would like to learn basic skills for fishing? Well, we have just the thing for you! The Evangeline 4-H Fishing Clinic will be held on during Easter break from 9:00 A.M. to 1:30 P.M. Once the date and place or set we will add that information here. This workshop is open to ALL 4TH - 8TH GRADERS.

¨ GPS/GIS Skills

¨ Water Safety

¨ Fisheries Management and Regulations

¨ Fishing Tournament

A limited number of fishing poles will be provided on this day. If you own a fishing pole, please bring it. We will provide live bait; however you may bring your own lures. There will be a registration fee of $15.00 and an (optional) t-shirt for $12.00.

When registration opens you will register by filling out registration form. Send your registration, fee, and t-shirt (optional) money to the 4-H Office by the deadline. Make check payable to the Evangeline 4-H Foundation. Meal and snacks will be provided.

Again, please do not turn into your school, you spot and t-shirt order will not be secure until we have form and payment in hand at the office.
