East Baton Rouge 4-H is excited to head to 4-H Camp Grant Walker this summer for four days of fun, leadership, recreation, and unforgettable memories!
Camp is open to youth in grades 4th–6th during the 2025–2026 school year.

Once all camp spots are filled, additional registrations will be placed on a waitlist in the order they are received.

Junior Counselor Applications Now Open!
We are currently looking for enthusiastic high school 4-H members in grades 9th–12th to serve as Junior Counselors for camp.
Junior Counselors:
- Attend camp at no cost
- Help lead activities and mentor younger campers
- Gain leadership and teamwork experience
- Build friendships with counselors and campers from across the parish and state.
- Help create an unforgettable camp experience

June 23 – June 25, 2026 - LSU Campus
4-H University is Louisiana 4-H’s premier event for members in grades 8–12 during the 2025–2026 school year. Participants spend three days on the LSU campus competing in statewide contests, attending Clover College sessions, developing leadership skills, and connecting with 4-H members from across Louisiana.
Whether youth are interested in public speaking, STEM, livestock, leadership, cooking, photography, or career exploration, 4-HU offers opportunities for every interest area.

03. Louisiana 4-H Food Challenge
The Louisiana 4-H Food Challenge gives youth the opportunity to showcase creativity, teamwork, culinary knowledge, and communication skills in a fast-paced cooking competition.
Teams work together to prepare a dish using a mystery ingredient while demonstrating nutrition knowledge, food safety, time management, and public speaking skills.
East Baton Rouge 4-H State Champions
East Baton Rouge 4-H is proud to celebrate the accomplishments of our 2026 Food Challenge team!
Our Senior Division team earned:
1st Place – Division III
and will represent Louisiana 4-H at the National Food Challenge Contest at the State Fair of Texas this September.

EBR 4‑H Now Accepting Names for 4‑H & FFA Day at the Capitol
East Baton Rouge Parish is preparing its delegation for 4‑H & FFA Day at the Capitol, scheduled for Tuesday, April 28, 2026. This event provides students with an opportunity to learn about Louisiana government, participate in leadership activities, and engage with legislators.
Event Highlights Include:
- Committee presentations by state 4‑H & FFA officers
- Legislative visits
- Capitol scavenger hunt
- Armory, State Museum, and Old State Capitol tours
- Lunch and program at the Pentagon Barracks
Cost: Youth – $20 | Adults – $10 (lunch included)
Who Can Attend: Enrolled 4‑H members in grades 4–12
Spots Available: Limited — first‑come, first‑served

4-H Night with the Pelicans

East Baton Rouge 4-H members had an unforgettable experience at the annual 4-H Night with the New Orleans Pelicans on Friday, January 30, 2026 at the Smoothie King Center in New Orleans.
Youth and Families enjoyed a night filled with basketball, 4-H spirit, and special fan experiences alongside 4-H members from across Louisiana.
Event Highlights
Participants had the opportunity to:
- Attend the pregame tailgate party
- Watch Pelicans warm-ups courside
- Participate in special fan experiences
- Receive exclusive Pelicans promotional items
- Celebrate Louisiana 4-H together at an NBA Game

East Baton Rouge Parish: Saturday, January 24, 2026 - The East Baton Rouge Parish Livestock Show will be held at the West Feliciana Barn.
South Central District Poultry & Rabbit Show: Wednesday, January 28, 2026 - St. Tammany Parish Fairgrounds, Covington, LA.
South Central District Show: Thursday, January 29 - Saturday, January 31, 2026 - St. Tammany Parish Fairgrounds, Covington LA.
LSU AgCenter State Livestock Show (includes Rabbits): Saturday, February 14 - Saturday, February 21 - Lamar Dixon Expo Center. Schedule and Catalog available on the LSU AgCenter website.
All Species Premier Exhibitor Forms are due by January 31, 2026. Keep in mind this is a Saturday, therefore late entries will be accepted through Monday, February 2, 2026 without penalty.

Bash on the Bayou (4-H/FFA Game Day Tailgate))
“Bash on the Bayou” is the annual LSU 4-H/FFA Game Day tailgate tradition. It’s a family-friendly event held on LSU’s campus (near the Mini Farm) that brings together Louisiana 4-H and FFA members, families, and alumni for food, fellowship, and Tiger spirit before an LSU home football game.

Shooting Sports Invitational
EBR Invitational - Saturday, February 28th Bridgeview Gun Club. EBR Invitational Shoot! The shoot will occur on February 28, 2026, at the Bridgeview Gun Club in Port Allen, LA (1365 Northwest Dr, Port Allen, LA). Deadline to register is February 16th.
