On Wednesday, May 30, 2012, Bossier Parish 4-H'ers, along with their parents, and 4-H agent, Jeannie Crnkovic , participated in the Annual 4-H Day at the Capitol activities beginning with an assembly on the front steps of the Capitol building.  This event brought together 1,500 participants from across Louisiana and provided an opportunity for 4-H members to learn about the legislative process.  Following the assembly, the group toured the Capitol and experienced the legislature at work.  They also viewed the 4-H exhibits and displays set up in the lobby featuring Louisiana 4-H programs.  The group also toured the Louisiana State Museum and went on to the LSU campus to see Mike the Tiger and visit the gift shop.

House Representatives Henry L. Burns of Haughton, and Jeff Thompson of Bossier, met with the Bossier Parish 4-H'ers.  They visited with the Bossier group on the steps of the Capitol and each representative was presented with gifts from the parish.

Each 4-H member received a 4-H commemorative T-Shirt provided by the Louisiana 4-H Foundation.  There were 49 4-H'ers and 11 adults attending including 4-H agent Jeannie Crnkovic.
