It’s smart to work hard for your money, but it’s even smarter to have your money work for you. This was the first of several sessions that have been explored at We Care Ministries in Ringgold, La. Church leaders and Pastor Sims believe in the importance of stewardship and finding ways to help families meet their needs.

We Care Ministries is offering “Saving and Investing for Life” (SAIL) classes on the first Sunday of each month at 9:30 a.m. These classes are being taught by Diane Uzzle, Financial Resource Management Agent for the LSU AgCenter. Topics have included:
  • Family budgeting
  • Tracking your spending
  • Types of expenses
  • Living within your means
  • Setting and reaching SMART goals
  • Building emergency funds
  • Debt to credit ratios
  • Finding money to save when there isn’t a dime to spare
  • Paying off high cost debt
  • Buying on credit
  • Knowing your investment options
  • Selecting the right investments for your goals
If you’re not happy with how your money is working for you now, you can be soon!
