The reason for this presentation was to help children understand where milk comes from and why it is important role in one’s diet.

The children were showed a video on how milk comes from dairy cows then is brought to schools and supermarkets.

The children were then given an opportunity to milk Ms. Annabelle, a wooden model of a cow complete with “udders” mounted on a bucket.

The children learned about the number of servings of dairy one is supposed to have each day and how important milk is in building strong bones and helping teeth, gums and jawbones stay healthy.
