The 4-H Golden Clover Award is for 4-H members who are under the age of 14 by January 1 of the year application is made, have at least two years of 4-H club work, and score a 250 or better on the score card. A club member may win the award only one time. Applications can be dropped off via the drop box, brought to the office or emailed and are due to the 4-H office by January 30, 2023.
This award recognizes 4-H Club members who have shown outstanding leadership ability in their club and in their parish. A club member may win the award only one time. Award Requirements: Must be at least 15 years of age by January 1 of the year application is made; Must have three years of 4-H club work, including award year; Must have completed one year of active Junior Leadership work, excluding award year; Must score at least 360 points on the application and scorecard. Applications can be dropped off via the drop box, brought to the office or emailed and are due to the 4-H office by January 30, 2023.
The Scott Foundation, over the past 32 years has awarded scholarships in 75 parishes and counties in Louisiana and Arkansas. The Scott Truck & Tractor Scholarship can be awarded up to $500 depending on the number of applications submitted. 4-H offers a wide array of activities, and this scholarship can be awarded to any eligible 4-H member.
The 4-H Honor Cord Award recognizes 4-H members who are graduating seniors. For 4-H youth to receive the 4-H Honor Cord, they must meet the following requirements:

for dedicated 4-H members in grades 7th-12th to promote and learn about fashion in Avoyelles Parish. To apply, you will need to fill out an application. Applications are available at the 4-H Office or online. Applications are due on September 30 –

We are looking for livestock members in grades 7th-12th to serve on the Parish Livestock Advisory Board. To apply, you will need to fill out an application and complete an interview. Applications are available at the 4-H Office or online. Applications are due on September 21– NO EXCEPTIONS! Interviews will be held at the 4-H office on September 28 at 5:30 p.m.
College can be expensive, and 4-H would like to assist youth involved in its program to continue their education. All senior 4-H members who plan to attend a college in Louisiana this fall are eligible to apply for the LCAAA Scholarships. Applications for both scholarships (4-H Scholarship and Member Scholarship) should be completed and returned by the deadline of June 1, 2022. Avoyelles 4-H has three (3) scholarships that can be awarded to a graduating senior, the Scott Truck and Tractor Scholarship, the Louisiana State 4-H Scholarship, and the Avoyelles 4-H Foundation.
**The first application
form included in the packet is for the 4-H Scholarship. All
senior 4-H members who plan to attend a college in Louisiana this fall are
eligible to apply for this scholarship. 4-H agents, please disseminate
to your senior 4-H members and encourage them to apply.
**The second
application form included in the packet is for the LCAAA Member Scholarship.
All current LCAAA members that have been a paid member for at least 3
consecutive years are eligible to apply. This scholarship is to help
offset costs associated with obtaining additional training. This can
include taking courses towards a graduate degree as well as other
training opportunities such as conferences and workshops.
