Attention all students in grades 7-12!

Have you ever wondered what it would be like to create your own masterpiece on canvas? Here’s your chance. Please join us for oil canvas painting and watch an artist at work.

When: November 11, 2011

Where: Avoyelles LSU AgCenter, 8592 Highway, 1, Mansura, LA 71350

Time: 9:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.

Fee: $10.00

About the artist:
Lydia Gauthier is a lifelong resident of Avoyelles Parish. Her father designed billboards years ago in an Alexandria sign shop. She assumes the gift of art was passed along to her as a desire to paint. Lydia loves painting all subjects and believes everyone should pursue their hobbies-whatever that entails. She has been painting for 12 years.

At this class 4-H’ers will learn as Mrs. Gauthier models, demonstrates, and teaches them how to use paint, painting tools (brushes and palette) as they create their own masterpiece on canvas with oil paint. She will provide examples of her own work.

We are limiting this workshop to the first 50 participants. After we reach the limit we will not take any more applications. Also, there are no refunds for missed workshops. We will not accept any walk-ins on the day of the workshop. We must know ahead of time who will be in attendance.
