Stick Horse Rodeo

Ascension Parish Livestock Program is hosting the 16th Annual Stick Horse Rodeo!! Come out and watch the kids compete in the listed events all while riding a stick horse. This event is held in conjunction with the Parish Livestock Show! It’s a great opportunity to have a blast and see the animals coming in to be exhibited the next day! There will be a silent auction, concessions, and a whole lot of fun!

Here are the details:

• Divisions: 7 years and younger; 8 – 11-year-olds

• When: Friday, January 16, 2026

• Registration Time: 6:00pm – 6:25pm Sharp

• Show Starts: 6:30 p.m.

• Where: Lamar Dixon Pavilion 7 & 8

• Entry fee: $5/event

Contestants compete in the following events on stick horses that are provided:

• Buckin’ Horse
• Flag Race
• Buckin’ Bull
• Barrel Racing
