Jr. Leadership Program

The Ascension 4-H Junior Leader program is open to 7th-12th grade 4-H members who would like to increase their leadership skills, conduct service learning projects, work in team settings, and create friendships of a lifetime along the way!

Some of the main projects that Jr. Leaders annually work on are:

  • Researching and developing a community service learning project for the year.
  • Volunteering to help put on the Annual Pet Show and Decorated Pumpkin Contest
  • Volunteering and participating the Annual Demo Day
  • Opportunity to attend the Louisiana 4-H Jr. Leadership Conference
  • Help the 4-H Agents put on the Ascension Parish 4-H Achievement Day
  • Opportunity to attend 4-H University
  • Opportunities for rewards trips
  • Develop your portfolio
  • Camp Counselor Opportunities
