Are you wondering what is it that a child can do once they can no longer attend 4-H Summer Camp? The answer to that question is Challenge Camp! This overnight camping opportunity is open to 7th and 8th grade 4-H members. During this camp, participants will complete various challenges, enhancing their critical thinking, teamwork, and communication skills.

Challenge Camp 2023

Challenge Camp is open to any 7th-8th grade 4-H member interested in working as a team, participating in outdoor adventures, and growing as a person. Events like canoeing/kayaking, cardboard boat challenge, grilling your own burger, hiking trails, etc will be part of this year's activities. Challenge Camp is November 1-2 @ Lion King Retreat Center. We are limited to 4 female and 3 male participants at this time. First come, first served. All other interested participants will be placed on a waitlist in the order the registrations are submitted in the event additional spots may become available.

To register:

  • Log into your 4-H Online family account. Click on your name, then find the events tab on the left hand side. Search for Southeast Regional Challenge Camp in the list of events and complete the registration.
  • Submit the $25 registration fee to the 4-H Office.
