4-H Day at the Capitol

4-H Day at the Capitol is back!!! It will take place on May 9, 2024. We have limited spots on a first come, first serve basis. If interested, please contact our office ASAP! We will need to initiate your registration for you!

4-H Online early registration will open March 1st and will close on March 20th. Participants that register after the March 20th deadline will not be guaranteed to receive a shirt. The final registration deadline will be April 12th. ALL attending youth and adults MUST register. The registration fee is $20 for youth and $10 for adults (excluding staff). Lunch and a Day at the Capitol shirts (pending registration) will be provided.

Tentative Agenda for the Day: Thursday, May 9, 2024

  • 9:30am Set up Rotunda (IT IS IMPORTANT THAT NO ONE ARRIVES PRIOR TO THIS TIME)
  • 10am-12pm- attend committee meetings, impromptu meetings with Legislators, and Rotunda presence
  • 12pm-1:30pm- Networking reception- Alario Patio & Rotunda presence
  • **TBD- Recognition of 4-H in House and Senate**
  • Rotunda items must be taken down by 3pm.
** Every registered person is requested to stay until after the House and Senate address. We need to make sure that 4-H is well-represented in the bleachers when we are recognized. This normally happens between 2:00pm & 4:00pm, but can potentially be later.
