As of July 1, 2015, the LSU AgCenter Forage Testing Laboratory has closed. During the process of moving the lab from the Southeast Station and the standardization of equipment in Baton Rouge, it was determined that producers and researchers could get a more thorough analysis externally for an equivalent price.
The .pdf document located on this page has a list of seven different laboratories that are running forage analyses. It is not our policy to endorse one lab or another, so the producer should pick the lab.
If you have any questions regarding the process, please contact Dr. Charles Hutchison or Dr. Ed Twidwell. If you have any questions or concerns regarding the lab closure, please contact Dr. Philip H. Elzer.
