Environmental management research in the School of Plant, Environmental, and Soil Sciences focuses on science-based stewardship of natural resources, particularly soil and water.
Federal Emergency Management Administration (FEMA) employee Chris Hurst recently visited with Dr. Maud Walsh and the class in Environmental Management Systems 2011. Chris gave a presentation on environmental issues and job opportunities with FEMA.
Active hands-on learning is incorporated in the Environmental Management Systems classes, and small class sizes encourage collaborative learning.
