The Plant Science Symposium affiliated with the Corteva Symposia Series is being held at Louisiana State University and supported by Corteva Agriscience.


About the Symposium

The Across the Boot Symposium, hosted by Louisiana State University in partnership with Corteva Agriscience, will take place in the heart of South Louisiana. This event brings together professionals, students, and scientists to address the agricultural challenges of the Southeastern U.S., including those posed by climate change, pests, and the region's unique landscape. The goal is to drive innovation and adaptation in the region's agriculture through research and collaboration. By featuring renowned speakers from a wide range of agricultural fields, highlighting student-led research, and showcasing cutting-edge industry advancements, the symposium aims to inspire solutions for modern crop improvement challenges. Topics will include genetics and plant breeding, integrated pest management, precision agriculture, soil and water sciences, horticultural sciences, artificial intelligence, and sustainable agriculture.

The symposium is free and open to the public.

Registration is open until November 9, 2024!

The deadline for submission of the abstract (both oral and poster) is October 31st.

There will be prizes and awards for best poster presentations.
