If you are interested in learning more about one of our events or volunteering with us, please contact any of the Entomology Club officers.
The mission of the Entomology Club is to promote education of entomology through extension and outreach, aid in networking and career building, and generate entomological interest while encouraging diversity and inclusion in our community.
The Entomology Club at LSU provides its members with a wide range of activities and learning opportunities. We conduct entomology and arthropod related outreach events throughout the state of Louisiana, to teach citizens more about the wonders of insects and their importance in our lives and the natural world. We also host many fun and exciting events throughout the year including insect collecting trips, tailgates, chili cook offs, pot lucks, and even cricket spitting competitions. This club provides a space to interact with other students and faculty who are passionate about insects and the environment in a friendly and inclusive manner. You can be involved as much as you want to and everyone is welcome, whether you study entomology or not!
