Graduate Program Highlights
Graduate Coordinator, Steven Hall, Ph.D., P.E.
Our graduate program is becoming one of the premier national programs in key focus areas. We have had significant growth of biomedical, nanoengineering and biotech components to our traditional agricultural and unique environmental and coastal engineering components.
In addition to a number of fellows of major national organizations including ASABE, AIMBE and ASCE, we have a growing number of young and active mid-level professors winning major national awards and continuing to grow significant programs, garnering large grants and writing excellent articles and books. We also have some of the best students in the country. We recently garnered NSF fellows, BOR fellows, ETD fellows and other highly competitive graduate students.
Our masters program (MSBAE) prepares a variety of students for engineering and management in industry, research and international service, while our PhDs publish in a variety of excellent journals, win awards and move into government and industrial labs as well as becoming respected professors around the country and the world.
In short, LSU’s BAE program is an excellent place to come to work with some of the finest scientists and engineers in their fields, to enjoy the unique Louisiana culture and cuisine and to build relationships with excellent faculty, staff and students who are changing the world for the better.
