Grow Lousiana

Grow Louisiana is a partnership of academic, cooperative extension, and non-profit personnel that trains new and beginning sustainable horticulture farmers with less than 10 years of experience on small to mid-size farms in Louisiana.

The LSU AgCenter offers a better-business training series aimed at helping farmers to adapt and overcome uncertainties and prepare them for today's business environment with up-to-date marketing strategies for local farmers' markets, restaurants, schools and institutions, and even grocery, wholesale, and retail businesses.

Too often are producers met with "You need this certification," with no information on where to start. The objective of this webinar series is for farmers and ranchers to understand whether or not they need to be certified, who they need to get in touch with, and what the first steps are to get a certification.

Building Your Business

Adhikari Food Safety Lab

Dr. Adhikari and his research group work on Food Safety mainly focused on fresh fruits and vegetables; the groups research needs are to address the Food Safety needs of growers in Louisiana and provide training on these topics as well.
