Commercial Pesticide Applicator (CPA)

Commercial applicators typically apply pesticides for hire in a variety of areas, depending on their certification in at least one subcategory.

Private Pesticide Applicator (PPA)

Private Pesticide Applicators are certified to apply pesticides for personal (not-for-hire) pest problems and control practices usually associated with agricultural operations.

Worker Protection Standard (WPS)

The EPA's Agricultural Worker Protection Standard (WPS) was designed to reduce the risk of pesticide poisoning and injury among agricultural workers and pesticide handlers.
