Theresa Crupi - Natural Resource Group with New York Parks Department
Theresa Crupi is a 2014 graduate in Natural Resource Ecology and Management. She is from Queens, New York and returned home to work as a saltmarsh restoration intern with the Natural Resource Group, a division within the New York City Parks Department. Theresa works with the wetlands team, and her responsibilities include mapping and collecting information to evaluate potential restoration opportunities throughout New York City; vegetation monitoring at several parks; assisting with post-Sandy marine debris removal field preparation, and assorted tasks using GIS. "I consider myself extremely fortunate to be working with Parks." Theresa said. "I was worried that I would arrive back home to Queens with a fervor for wetlands and have no outlet by means of work. Working with Parks thus far has been a wonderful introduction to wetlands of the mid-Atlantic, as I hope to continue work on city-wide restoration projects in the future. It warms my heart knowing that I can to bring all that I have learned from my alma mater to the city that raised me."
