Message from the Director

Welcome to the LSU AgCenter Extension webpage. In Louisiana, extension is a way of life and integral to the success of the land grant mission. The primary aim of the Louisiana Cooperative Extension Service is to share research-based information with people throughout the state. Our committed extension faculty are present statewide, at five regional centers, 14 research stations, 14 departments, and all 64 parishes. Whether it's helping to implement sustainable farming practices, promoting your health and wellness, or educating our youth—the future leaders—we are dedicated to community service and collaboration to enhance daily life. We hope that the resources available here will inform and assist you as we work together to support and advance all aspects of Louisiana's agriculture.
