Membership Guidelines:

Section I: Membership in LAE4-HYDP is inclusive and open to all Extension professionals, paraprofessionals, program assistants, and associates who are dedicated to promoting and working with youth development programs. We welcome individuals from all backgrounds, without discrimination based on race, color, creed, sex, age, handicap, or national origin.

Section II: Retired members in good standing with LAE4-HYDP are eligible for honorary life membership in the state association, with no dues required. These members may opt to pay national life membership dues, granting them all rights and privileges of membership except voting or holding office.

Section III: Charter membership in LAE4-HYDP comprises those who joined the association as of December 31, 1976.

Section IV: Honorary membership may be conferred upon individuals by a majority vote of active members during the annual or special meetings.

Section V: LAE4-HYDP encourages its members to maintain or obtain membership in either the Louisiana County Agricultural Agents' Association or the Louisiana Extension Association of Family and Consumer Sciences for further professional development and networking opportunities.

Membership Dues:

Section I: Annual membership dues for LAE4-HYDP shall be $10.00 above the current national dues. New member dues will be half of the renewal membership fee.

Section II: The fiscal year for LAE4-HYDP runs from September 1 to August 31. Membership dues must be paid to Regional Representatives by December 15 at the regular membership rate.

Section III: A late fee of $10.00 will be applied to all current members who submit their membership dues after the December 15th deadline set by the state. This deadline will be communicated to all members in advance.
