LSU AgCenter 4-H youth instructor David Boldt said the event included competition in nine disciplines – compound archery, recurve archery, air rifle, air pistol, .22 rifle, .22 pistol, shotgun, muzzle loading and hunting skills.
At State Shoot, 36 4-Her’s earned the honor of representing Louisiana to compete with 4-H youth from across the country at the 2015 4-H Shooting Sports National Championship at Heartland Public Shooting Park in Grand Island, Nebraska, on June 21-26.
The national competitors are:
Air Rifle – Kaitlyn Thomas, Franklin Parish; Garrett Cooper, St. Tammany Parish; Marvin Scott, Franklin Parish; Danielle Bean, Jefferson Parish.
Hunting – Morgan Manuel, Sabine Parish; Dylan Benson, Jefferson Davis Parish; Trevor Watson, Sabine Parish; Klein Pearce, Sabine Parish.
Air Pistol – Zachary Poche, Ascension Parish; Emma Busby, St. Tammany Parish.
Compound Archery – Luke Sequin, Livingston Parish; Zach Guillory, West Baton Rouge Parish; Logan Angelle, St. Martin Parish; Matthew Seguin, Livingston Parish.
Recurve Archery – Sean Craig, Rapides Parish.
Shotgun – Andrew Ewing, LaSalle Parish; Colby Domingue, Lafayette Parish; Garrett LeJeune, Jefferson Davis Parish; Colby Vincent, Lafayette Parish.
