WINNSBORO, La. – The LSU AgCenter Macon Ridge Research Station will host a pest management and crop production field day Sept. 5.
The event starts with registration at 8:30 a.m. followed by a field tour beginning at 9 a.m.
LSU AgCenter research and extension faculty members will present information on:
– Management practices on late-season soybean quality.
– The influence of starter fertilizer on corn and grain sorghum yield and plant development.
– Insect pest management strategies.
– Use of cover crops.
– Plant disease management.
– Pesticide application technology.
A lunch will be served after the field tour.
