ALEXANDRIA, La. – The LSU AgCenter will host the Central Louisiana Forestry Forum on March 12 at the evacuation center near the LSU at Alexandria campus.
It starts at 8 a.m. with registration, includes a lunch and ends at 3 p.m.
A number of issues facing timber producers will be discussed, including tax law changes, fuel options for light trucks, the effects of weather patterns on timber, mineral leasing information, pipeline safety and the status of the Louisiana Department of Agriculture and Forestry wildfire protection. In addition, Buck Vandersteen, Louisiana Forestry Association director, will talk about current forestry issues.
