Beef, forage field day set for May 6 in Rosepine

ROSEPINE, La. – Cattle producers will be able to pick up new ideas on feeding their herds at the LSU AgCenter beef and forage field day May 6 at the Rosepine Research Station.

The event will start at 9:30 a.m., and field tours will begin at 10 a.m. Topics to be covered by LSU AgCenter experts include ryegrass baleage, forage-finished beef, ryegrass utilization, warm-season grasses and nontraditional forages.

LSU AgCenter faculty will be available to provide advice on cattle and forage issues.

After lunch, a baling demonstration will be conducted.
