CROWLEY, La. – An information session to help farmers take advantage of the potential of agritourism will be held Oct. 6 at the LSU AgCenter Rice Research Station.
The meeting will be conducted by representatives of the LSU AgCenter and the Louisiana Department of Agriculture and Forestry from 10 a.m. until noon.
The organizers recommend the conference for farmers interested in diversifying their business and increasing their income while providing work for employees during the off-season.
The program will include an explanation of the new Louisiana limited liability agritourism law, rules and regulations, plans of operations and the certification process.
