WINNSBORO, La. – The LSU AgCenter’s wheat and oat field day will be held at the Macon Ridge Research Station April 15.
Registration begins at 8:30 a.m., followed by an update on the current wheat situation by LSU AgCenter scientists Dr. Ed Twidwell and Dr. Clayton Hollier. Dr. Bill Williams will address weed control in wheat and oats.
Field tour topics will include oat variety trials and hull-less oats, wheat variety trials, wheat residue management, fungicide trials, disease control and Hessian fly and aphid control, according to Dr. Steve Harrison, LSU AgCenter wheat breeder.
