JEANERETTE, La. – Hay production and beef cattle management will be topics covered in a field day at the LSU AgCenter’s Iberia Research Station March 21.
The program will be from 8 a.m. until 1 p.m., and a lunch will be included.
Topics will include stocker beef production, clover variety demonstration plots, hay meadow management, pasture and hay meadow soil fertility, forage-fed beef and stocker research, and research on tropically adapted cattle breeds, according to Dr. Sonny Viator, resident coordinator at the research station.
The field day is sponsored by the Louisiana Cattlemen’s Association, Louisiana Forage and Grassland Council and the LSU AgCenter.
