LSU AgCenter sets northeast Louisiana crop forum Jan. 21

The latest in research to help grow profitable crops will be presented at the Northeast Louisiana Crop Forum Jan. 21 at the Delhi Civic Center.

LSU AgCenter agent Keith Collins of Richland Parish said a variety of topics will be addressed during the forum, which will run from 8:30 a.m. until 12:30 p.m.

The program will include corn, soybean and grain sorghum production and varieties; crop nutrient demand and removal; poultry litter as fertilizer; cotton varieties; insecticide and herbicide technology for all crops; weed resistance; disease management; commodity cost and return projections; and a spreadsheet-based budget builder for making farm financial decisions.
